About the Optimism of Color Blog
For 365 days, I am posting a photo or piece of art that I have created that reflects what I call the Optimism of Color. Through vibrant colors and bold visceral forms, these works shout out my joy at being alive, and my good fortune at being able to continue to make art after a near death experience.
Each of the images I post brings a smile to my face. I hope they bring you similar joy and laughter through the Optimism of Color.

Reminds me of an apocalyptic city rising from the destruction. Awesome!
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE ORIGINAL BLOGGERS POSTS. They were kind enough to let me share this wonderful article with you.
Amazing. Raw. I adore the colors, their exnssreiops are smoldering. THe backdrop is so great- grungy but bright, the colors balance it out. It’s so amazing, what an inspiring concept. I love this !! Love her makeup, did she do this herself or was it a styled shoot?
Glad you liked it. The original artist and blogger is at this site: https://optimismofcolor.com/2012/01/31/life-after-death/ I thought the painting was awesome too.
Fantastique!

Merci! I appreciate your feedback. This is one of my favourite paintings. Linda
I LOVE this! The color, texture, shape….just beautiful.
Thank you Elizabeth! It’s one of my favourite paintings as well. Cheers, Linda
As a child, my mother contracted typhoid fever and had a near death experience. She said it left her with a greater appreciation for living; long life, but a comfortable absence of the fear of her eventual final death.
I guess my experience propelled me into making sure that I’m doing more of what I like each and every day. FYI, that painting was done long before my near death experience! Cheers, Linda
Love the texture!
