My New Novel Just Published on Amazon Canada

Once A Writer tells the story of an 85-year-old former bestselling novelist who stopped writing for nearly fifty years. When her books are re-issued, renewed public interest forces her back into the spotlight. She must now confront the trauma behind her long silence and the unfinished manuscript she left hidden in a drawer decades earlier.

An intimate exploration of memory, regret, resilience, and the creative life, Once A Writer asks whether it is ever too late to return to creative work we left unfinished.

I think you’ll enjoy reading this optimistic novel about memory, guilt, forgiveness, and the courage to begin again.

Once A Writer is available from Amazon Canada as a printed paperback and as a Kindle eBook. The eBook is also available in different formats from Draft2Digital.

Once a Writer is my fourth book. In 2023 I published my memoir I AM – My Journey To A Creative Life. I’m also the author of The Naked Law, a dystopian novel, and Open Wounds, Secret Obsessions, a collection of short stories. All are available on Amazon Canada and Draft2Digital.

My Optimism of Color Blog

Every Tuesday and Friday, I’m posting a photo or piece of art that I’ve created that reflects what I call the Optimism of Color. Through vibrant colors and bold visceral forms, these works shout out my joy at being alive, and my good fortune at being able to continue to make art after surviving five cardiac arrests in one night in 2011.

Each of the images I post brings a smile to my face. I hope they bring you similar joy and laughter through the Optimism of Color.
