About the Optimism of Color Blog
Every Tuesday and Friday, I’m posting a photo or piece of art that I’ve created that reflects what I call the Optimism of Color. Through vibrant colors and bold visceral forms, these works shout out my joy at being alive, and my good fortune at being able to continue to make art after a near death experience.
Each of the images I post brings a smile to my face. I hope they bring you similar joy and laughter through the Optimism of Color.

Yellow mushrooms a delight. Joining bananas and lemons. I recently in conversation/slight argument about colour green. Is it primary? Is it a mixture blue and yellow? Or mixture red and blue?
Hi Eva: Glad you found mellow yellow mushrooms a delight. As for the colour green. I found this when I googled and it makes sense to me … From an artistic and formula viewpoint green is not a primary color. It takes a combination of primaries to make green. From an earthy viewpoint, green is a primary color and can be found in the environment, prisms, rainbows, animals, plants, etc. Cheers, Linda
